WCLPT: 1st Meeting of the Committee/Precinct Convention of Wilson County

7:00 PM Precinct Opened, attendance sheet passed for sign in. Attendees: Timothy Shanks,John Lynch, Mauricio Chevez and Albert Andis as the appointed County Chair. Introductions were made around the room.
Mr. Andis appointed Mr. Lynch as Secretary for the meeting.
Noted: That Mr. Chevez & Mr. Shanks had previously voted in the republican primary and are considered inactive-not voting attendees. Mr. Andis announced that no elections of the newly formed Wilson County Committee of the Libertarian Party of Texas were being contested within the Precincts so this meeting would act as the "Inaugural Meeting" of the Wilson County LPT. All agreed.
7:20 Permanent Chair - Mr. Andis takes the position and 'calls the meeting to order'
Discussions were had; on issues related to upcoming Libertarian Party (LP) and Conventions necessary to nominate candidates for office, Mr. Andis introduced Mr. Lynch (interested in Dist. 44 Rep for State Congress).
7:30 Mr. Andis motioned to nominate Mr. Lynch for the State Congressional District
44. All Favored the motion and the "Motion Passed."
Chair, 'gives up the floor' to Mr. Lynch; who made acceptance comments.
John Lynch & Albert Andis are both nominated as "Delegates" to the District and State Conventions and accept. All Favored the motion and the "Motion Passed."

8:15 Motions for County Convention Delegates were entertained by the Chair. motioned and seconded: John Lynch and Albert were nominated, all favorable votes, motion to accept Mr.(s) Andis & Lynch as delegates Passed without objection.
8:30 Chair asked for any other business discussions or entertaining a motion to adjourn.
Mr. Lynch motioned "for adjournment and to set next meeting @ this location for the
County Convention on 15 March 2008."
Mr. Andis, second. Meeting Adjourned until County Convention.

Acceptance Of Committee By LPT

The Chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas, Patrick Dixon, accepted the opening of a County Committee of the LPT in Wilson County and appointed Albert F. Andis as the Temporary Chair, to be effective until the States' County Conventions & elections, on March 15, 2008. The Committee is to be officially known as the: Wilson County Libertarian Party of Texas (Committee) or the WCLPT.
